TenantKit helps you document the condition of a rental with sealed video evidence. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app collects and what it does not.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you choose to sign in to back up your evidence. It's used only to sign you in and to link your backups to your account.
- The videos, photos, and descriptions you capture. These are recorded and sealed on your device. They stay on your phone unless you turn on backup, in which case they're copied to your own private vault on our servers so only you can reach them.
- An optional location for a walkthrough, only if you choose to add one. You can skip it and still use the app.
- Delivery information when you send a report to a landlord — the recipient's email address and a record of when the report was sent, delivered, and viewed.
What we don't do
- We don't show ads.
- We don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
How your evidence is protected
Each video is sealed on your device with an independent cryptographic timestamp, so it can't be altered without detection. When backup is on, your sealed evidence is stored in a private vault that only your signed-in account can open.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes everything you've backed up to your private vault and closes your account on our servers. The sealed evidence saved on your own phone stays on your phone — it's yours.
